NDIS Payment Process

IMPORTANT CHANGES:

In an effort to enhance the safety and integrity of the NDIS system, the NDIA is implementing tighter scrutiny on payments to reduce instances of fraud and non-compliance.

Key Changes:

The NDIA will now scrutinize all payments more closely, leading to slightly longer approval and payment times for invoices. NDIA approval is expected to take two business days, resulting in payments being delayed by one to two extra days compared to current processing times.

In cases of potentially non-compliant invoices, the NDIA may request additional documentation, delaying approval by up to 10 days.

Participants are reminded to provide proof of payment when submitting reimbursements to avoid processing delays. Providers should ensure that all invoices contain essential information to avoid processing delays, such as business details, participant information, service details, and correct line-item codes.

These changes aim to strengthen the NDIS, improve accuracy, and reduce the risk of fraud. For further inquiries, please contact the NDIS directly at 1800 800 110 or visit their website.

Rest assured, Advocability is committed to supporting you through these changes.
No action is required from participants, and we are actively communicating with providers and support coordinators to ensure awareness.

I cannot thank Chithrani enough for her help in navigating the NDIS's processes, when trying to gain approval for the funding of modifications to my new vehicle and wheelchair. Without the brilliant advocacy work done by Chithrani, I would still be battling a system that seems to be designed to frustrate you at every turn.

She is moral and respectful, but will never stop working and providing help for those who need it most.
